To crack the RRB Isolated Categories exam, a balanced approach focusing on both the professional subject and general sections is crucial. Since Professional Ability carries highest weightage, it needs special attention.

1. Master Your Professional Subject

Devote at least 50% of your study time to your specialized subject (Stenography/Translation/Law/Teaching). This section forms the core of the exam (50 marks).

• Stenographers: Practice daily dictation at varying speeds.
• Translators: Focus on official language terminology (Rajbhasha) and translation rules.
• Teachers: Revise pedagogy and your specific subject (Math/Science) from NCERTs.

2. Practice Skill Tests Early

For posts like Stenographer and Translator, daily practice of typing, dictation, or translation is mandatory. Do not wait for CBT results to start this.

• Accuracy is key: Focus on error-free typing/translation before increasing speed.

3. Cover General Sections consistently

Be consistent with General Awareness and Reasoning.

• Current Affairs: Read daily news summaries focusing on Railway announcements.
• Reasoning: Practice 30 mins of puzzles and coding-decoding daily.
• Math: Focus on arithmetic basics if you are weak in numbers.

4. Mock Tests & Revision
